Chiropractor
Dr. Sean Kallan
Dr. Kallan builds each plan around the specific things you want to get back to — returning to sport, keeping up with your kids. Care is goal-driven and personal, never one-size-fits-all.
Your goals become my goals — they become just as important to me, and I want you to reach them just as badly as you do.
His story
From patient to practitioner
I was pulled toward this work by a mix of my own injuries and a lifelong love of science. I wanted a career where I could help people feel and move better — and actually understand why it works.
The turning point came at sixteen. Playing for Canada against England at the Italy International Cup, I went up for a header, collided heads with another player and was knocked unconscious. A sports-medicine doctor gave me a month of exercises, but I came back scoring D’s on my return-to-play tests and battling headaches. After a month with Dr. Sanderson at Align instead, my lowest retest score was an A. She had already helped me recover from a bad ankle sprain, so I knew first-hand the difference the right care makes.
That experience set my path. I studied Human Kinetics at the University of Guelph for its elite anatomy program, then earned my Doctor of Chiropractic at Northeast College of Health Sciences — following in Dr. Sanderson’s footsteps, and now practising alongside her at Align.

How he can help
Common conditions I treat
Plantar fasciitis
Stubborn heel pain that bites hardest on your first steps of the morning, eased with load management, targeted foot and calf strengthening and shockwave.
Patellofemoral pain (runner’s knee)
Pain around the kneecap from overload or muscle imbalance, settled by releasing tight quads and rebuilding hip and thigh strength.
Trapezius trigger points
Tight, tender knots in the upper traps that refer pain into the neck and head, released with hands-on therapy, strengthening and adjustments.
Supraspinatus tendinopathy
An overloaded rotator-cuff tendon that hurts when reaching overhead, calmed by easing the load and progressively strengthening the shoulder.
Low back pain from gluteus medius tightness
Tight, underworking glute muscles that stress the low back, addressed with hip and core strengthening, trigger-point release and adjustments.
Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis)
Overuse of the wrist-extensor tendons causing pain on the outside of the elbow, managed with load changes and progressive strengthening.
