Social Worker
Sarah Simms
Sarah is a warm, down-to-earth therapist who makes room for the hard conversations without making you feel analysed. You’ll leave sessions feeling heard – and with practical tools you can actually use.
Healing begins when you feel safe enough to be yourself.
Her story
Therapy that actually fits you
I’ve always been fascinated by people – how our experiences shape us, how we cope, and what actually helps us change. Becoming a social worker let me combine that curiosity with the work of supporting people through their most difficult and transformative moments.
I completed my Master of Social Work and have spent the past eight years in community mental health and private practice, working with youth, adults, couples and families across a wide range of concerns.
What I’ve learned is that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Every client brings their own strengths, history and goals, so I draw from cognitive behavioural, dialectical behavioural, solution-focused and narrative approaches depending on what will actually help – and I check in often about what’s working and what isn’t.
My aim is a space where you feel comfortable being yourself: heard, respected, and free to tell me when something isn’t landing. The most rewarding part of my work is watching people recognise their own resilience and start meeting life with more confidence and self-compassion.

How she can help
What people bring to Sarah
Anxiety & stress
For worry that won’t switch off, or stress that’s become the baseline. We make sense of what’s driving it and build coping strategies that hold up in real life.
Burnout & workplace well-being
For professionals running on empty. Together we set healthier boundaries, reconnect you with what matters, and stop exhaustion running the show.
Life transitions
Career changes, new relationships, parenthood, loss. Support and steadiness while you find your footing in something unfamiliar.
Depression & low mood
For flat days, lost motivation, or a hopelessness that’s hard to explain. We look at what’s underneath it and work toward change that lasts.
Relationships & communication
For individuals and couples: clearer communication, healthier boundaries, and a better way through conflict.
Self-esteem & confidence
For self-doubt, perfectionism and a harsh inner voice – replaced, gradually, with self-compassion.
Emotional regulation
Practical skills for understanding big emotions and responding to them in ways that match your values, not just your reflexes.
Personal growth & self-discovery
You don’t need a diagnosis to benefit from therapy. For anyone wanting to understand themselves better and make deliberate change.
