Registered Physiotherapist
Andrea Link
I have a real passion for working alongside my patients to reach their personal goals. As a former athlete and coach, I adapt to each person's lifestyle, whatever your age or activity level, to improve your quality of life and physical well-being. Sports-related injuries and pre- and post-operative recovery are two of the many things I see often. I'm committed to treatment guided by the latest research, and to keeping you an active participant in your own recovery.
Physiotherapy isn't one-sided. The manual therapy you receive is only half of the work; active rehabilitation specific to your lifestyle is what prevents re-injury and gets you back to feeling like yourself.
Her story
From competitive athlete to physiotherapist
My path into physiotherapy started in sport. I was a competitive cheerleader for 16 years, and along the way I dealt with more than my share of injuries. As a coach, I loved teaching young athletes how to train smarter and come back stronger, and that is really where my interest in the body and rehabilitation began.
I went on to Western University, graduating in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. Those years taught me a great deal about how the body works and how we can improve our active health at every stage of life.
In 2022 I completed my Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Queen's University. My placements took me through a range of settings, including hospital ICU, paediatric rehabilitation, and sports medicine clinics, which gave me experience with patients of all ages and needs.
As a former athlete and coach, I adapt to each patient's lifestyle, whatever your age or activity level. I treat primarily extremity concerns along with spine-related issues, and I always work in line with the most current research while keeping you an active participant in your own recovery.
Outside the clinic, you will usually find me walking my dog with a good podcast, reading, or working on my own fitness journey.
