Acupuncture

Relief and calm without reaching for another pill

Maybe the pain has hung around too long, or the stress sits in your shoulders and follows you to bed.

Acupuncture is a gentle, drug-free way to treat the whole picture. Using needles about as thin as a hair at carefully chosen points, your acupuncturist eases pain, quiets tension and helps your system settle – and it’s far more relaxing than it sounds. Most people feel little to nothing going in.

The two things everyone asks – answered honestly

Almost everyone comes to acupuncture with the same two hesitations.

“Will it hurt?”

The needles are nothing like the ones from the doctor’s office – about as thin as a hair, and most people feel little to nothing going in. The usual reaction isn’t a flinch, it’s how quickly they relax, and plenty of our patients drift off on the table.

“Does it actually work?”

The honest answer is yes, for the right things: there’s real, growing evidence acupuncture can help with chronic pain, headaches and migraines, and stress. It isn’t magic and we won’t pretend it is – but it’s a genuine tool, not a placebo.

And whatever we’re doing, we explain it – which points, where, and why.

Gentle on the surface and providing relief underneath

Ease pain, naturally

For pain that lingers, acupuncture gives your body a way to turn the volume down without leaning harder on medication.

Calm stress and tension

Acupuncture helps settle an overworked nervous system – most people leave a session noticeably calmer than they walked in.

Sleep better, feel steadier

As the tension eases, many people find they sleep more deeply and feel more like themselves through the day.

Part of a bigger plan

It pairs naturally with chiropractic, physiotherapy and massage under one roof – one team, one plan, all pulling the same direction.

Your first visit, step by step

If you’ve never done this before, not knowing what happens is half the nerves. Here’s exactly how we spend your first appointment.

Book now

We listen

We start with your story – what’s bothering you, how long it’s been going on, what you’ve tried, and what you’re hoping to feel again.

We explain the plan

Before a single needle, your acupuncturist walks you through which points, where on the body, and why each one. You’ll always know what’s happening.

Your treatment

The needles go in gently – most people feel little to nothing – and then you rest. This is the part that surprises people: it’s deeply relaxing.

We track and adjust

Acupuncture works over a course, not a single visit, so we check in on how you’re responding and fine-tune the plan as we go.

Common questions

Does it hurt?
For most people, no. Acupuncture needles are about as thin as a hair – nothing like the needles used for shots or blood draws – and most people feel little to nothing as they go in. Far more common is how relaxed people feel; many drift off on the table. If you’re nervous, tell your acupuncturist and they’ll go slowly.
Does acupuncture actually work?
For the things it’s best suited to, the evidence is genuinely encouraging – acupuncture can help with chronic pain, headaches and migraines, and stress. We won’t overpromise, and results build over a course of sessions rather than a single visit. We’ll be honest about whether it’s a good fit.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on what you’re treating and how long it’s been going on. Acupuncture works best as a short course, and many people notice a difference within the first few visits. Your acupuncturist will give you a realistic sense after your first appointment.
Do you direct bill, and do I need a referral?
No referral needed – you can book acupuncture directly. We direct bill to most major insurers, so in most cases you only cover what your plan doesn’t. Coverage varies between plans, so it’s worth a quick check with your insurer.
Can I combine it with my other treatments here?
Absolutely – that’s one of the best reasons to have it done here. Because chiropractic, physiotherapy, massage and acupuncture all sit under one roof, your practitioners can coordinate as one team on one plan.

Feel better, the gentle way

Same-week appointments are usually available at both locations, with direct billing to most insurers. If pain, tension or stress has worn out its welcome, acupuncture is a calm place to start.
